MANILA --  OPM artist Juan Karlos Labajo on Monday expressed his support for his rumored girlfriend Dia Mate who is vying for Miss Universe Philippines crown this year.

Posting a photo of Mate, Labajo requested his followers to download the Miss Universe app and vote for the beauty queen.

In her Instagram Stories post, Mate reacted to Labajo's post about her by writing the words: "I LOVE YOU @juankarlos."

In her earlier post, Mate also revealed that Labajo and musician Xergio Ramos co-produced her next song "Ocean of Emotion."

It was last February 14 when Labajo showed off his sweet photo with Mate. Speculations about Labajo and Mate's relationship started after she greeted the singer-songwriter on his birthday last February. 

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Labajo confirmed that his hit song "Ere" was inspired by his breakup with beauty queen Maureen Wroblewitz.
