Cafe Victoria opens in Tagaytay

If you’re trooping over to Tagaytay for the long weekend, check out the newly opened Café Victoria at Los Arboles.

This café, nestled in a gorgeously green wedding venue, is an alternative to the usual (and often, crowded) coffee places and restaurants. Explore the beautifully landscaped grounds home and admire the wide variety of plants and flowers to work up an appetite before munching on their sandwiches and pasta.

Italianni's opens at Newport Mall

As Italianni’s celebrates its 20th year in the Philippines, this family favorite opens its 16th branch at the Newport Mall.

Located at the previous location of Krazy Garlik, this branch features an open airy design that looks right at home at the courtyard of the mall. Resort World mallgoers now have their own branch to get the pasta, pizza, and mains Italianni’s is known for.

Gringo now in Makati

Gringo in Makati.

Gringo, the Mexican-Latin restaurant, opens its third and largest restaurant in Makati’s Legaspi Village at the OPL Building on C. Palanca corner De la Rosa St.

Makati diners can now enjoy South American-inspired barbecued ribs and chicken, street tacos, and nachos, paired with their signature cocktails.

Citi cardholders get discounts at Dusit

Citi cardholders can enjoy up to 53% discount at the buffet of The Pantry of Dusit Thani Manila until October 31. Valid from Mondays through Saturdays for lunch and dinner, cardholders will pay only P1,110 when paying with their Citi card.

They will also get a special rate of P1,500 net per person for the hotel's Crossover Sunday Brunch inclusive of unlimited soda, chilled juice and, iced tea instead of the regular rate of P2,500. Crossover Sunday Brunch allows guests to literally cross over between The Pantry and UMU Japanese Restaurant to enjoy their buffet spread.

The Pantry features different food stations for appetizers, salads, pizza and pasta, Indian cuisine, desserts, dimsum and noodles, seafood, and a carving section that offers lechon and more.

UMU on the other hand offers sushi, sashimi, maki, soup, grilled items, sukiyaki, tempura, and more lip-smacking dishes.

Crossover Brunch also features a kids’ zone where different entertainment and activities await children every Sunday.

Edsa Shangri-La, Manila has given a fresh, new look to The Bakeshop’s all-time best-selling chocolate bars, The Rock.

The chocolate line aims to support the four advocacies of the World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF) by creating awareness through specially designed post cards dedicated to each cause – climate and energy, species, food and water. A portion of the proceeds will go to various conservation projects of the WWF Philippines.

Priced at P345 net per piece, The Rock is made of all-natural white and dark chocolate, hazelnut and almond, with a secret recipe formulated in 2007. The Bakeshop also offers other flavors such as Funky Monkey, B-52, Singapore Sling, Mojito, La Dolce Vita and Halo-Halo.

Connect Lounge, one of the outlets of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, introduces its Afternoon Tea, available daily from 2-6 p.m. for P788 good for two persons.

Served in a three-tier stand, guests can enjoy a customized set of pastries from a wide array of selections such as cakes and mini sandwiches, paired with coffee or tea. Drinks can be opted for an upgrade to a glass of champagne, smoothie, or iced tea.
