Ever since he officially became a Kapamilya in 2016, Ogie Alcasid has been a regular figure in ASAP Natin ‘To as one of the mainstays and in Tawag ng Tanghalan as one of the judges, which enables him to showcase his formidable flair in singing.

And this October, he’s able to further display his impressive skills in hosting, not to mention his comedic side, when he was tapped to be the guest co-host of It’s Showtime. Since he’s been doing so for a few weeks now, let’s look back on some of his hilarious moments on the noontime program in this episode of Kapamilya Toplist!

He may be one of the biggest names in the local entertainment scene, but Ogie was still able to experience a simple life in his younger years, which he divulged during their interviews with the contestants of “Reina ng Tahanan.”

As one of the “reinanays” recounted reaching the province of Abra when she overslept during a bus trip, he recalled how the same thing happened to him while he was on his way to University of the Philippines-Los Baños and made it to San Pedro, Laguna.

There was also a “reinanay” who figured in a road accident and got severely injured, which reminded him of that time when he almost got hit by a jeepney while playing with his friends as a kid. And when a contestant related that she used to ride the tricycle with It’s Showtime floor director Ervin “Dumbo” Plaza, the OPM icon disclosed the funny moment when he attempted to ride pillion (or backride) but did it in a wrong way.

It’s also not unbeknownst to us that Ogie used to be married to Australian beauty queen Michelle van Eimeren. Even though his current wife Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is on good terms with his ex, he couldn’t help but get anxious while talking about his past relationship in one of the episodes of “Reina ng Tahanan”.

He once again found himself in hot water when he jested being heartbroken with Manilyn Reynes the most among the ladies to whom he had a romantic affair with during an episode of “Madlang Pi-Poll”.

And speaking of his relationships, the 54-year-old singer-songwriter also imparted a few funny yet sweet memories about her beloved wife Regine, which her avid supporters arguably don't know yet -- from one of their dates and their pamamanhikan stage, to their daily life at home.

But apart from his amusing anecdotes, his droll banters and natural chemistry with the hosts, hurados, and contestants also never failed to make us laugh. Can you recall his funny encounter with the impersonator of his wife Regine-slash-Asia’s Songbird in an episode of “Madlang Pi-Poll”? What about his repartees with the gorgeous hurados of “Reina ng Tahanan” in every episode?

However, at the end of the day, it’s the first-times that are the most special, right? Thus, Ogie’s first day as a guest co-host was truly unforgettable as he’s able to impress the madlang people and hosts alike.

From his witty stories to his hilarious jokes, Ogie Alcasid is a perfect fit to the It’s Showtime family! Show your love for him by not missing an episode of It’s Showtime, Mondays to Saturdays on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z Channel 11!
