From being one of the backup dancers of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime" target="_blank">It’s Showtime</a>, Jackie Gonzaga has become one of its faces ever since she rose to popularity as “Ate Girl,” the name mainstay Vice Ganda had given her as she was tapped to be the bowl bearer during the now-defunct “Miss Q &amp; A” segment.But aside from her stunning beauty, flawless fair complexion, and graceful movements onstage, Jackie also astonished us with her wit and humor for she was able to keep pace with mainstay Vice Ganda, to whom she had several ‘flirtatious’ moments and exchanges of hugot lines as they did spontaneous skits in every episode of the said segment.Now that she’s officially part of the lineup of hosts Jackie continues to display her bubbly personality and has never been shy, much to delight and amusement of her co-hosts and the madlang people. The hosts were divided into five groups, with Jackie being teamed up with Anne Curtis and Cianne Domiguez as they belted out “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw.” While Cianne has vocal prowess, both Anne and Jackie tried their best to hit the high notes and did not disappoint.She may be known for her impressive dancing skills, but Jackie proves that she will not retreat when it comes to singing. In a January 2023 episode, she bravely accepted the challenge of Ogie Alcasid for her and up-and-rising young singer FANA to have a “kulot” or runs showdown. It might not have turned out the way FANA did, but we still commend Ate Girl for trying.Since she’s a dancer, it was just truly fitting for her to become one of the hosts of the “Girl On Fire” segment, which showcased the dancing prowess of Filipinas. And in one episode, her co-hosts Vice, Anne, Jhong Hilario, and Vhong Navarro poked fun at how her energy seemed to deplete as she delivered her spiels.In another episode, Jackie took her turn in making fun of the Unkabogable Star by tricking her into dancing the “Chiquita” not just once, but twice. A contestant mentioned the said old song during the interview portion, which made our beloved Ate Girl sing and dance it, as well as Vice.Speaking of singing, Jackie also shocked her manager Vice Ganda when she started singing a Tagalog song that was unfamiliar to her. The former told the latter that it was her original song “Akin Ka Na Lang Sana,” which she recorded without Vice’s knowledge. As Jackie attempted to sing along with it when it was played the second time, Vice joked that it would be better if they would just listen to the song being played.Jackie shared a funny moment with Vice anew in another episode of “Girl On Fire,” wherein the latter couldn’t help herself from laughing as the former recounted that she once had the skin on her thigh clipped as she sat on a rattan chair.
