Park Seo-joon and Won Ji-an are set to star in a new K-Drama.

According to a report by Naver as translated by Soompi, both stars will headline the series Waiting for Gyeongdo.

The romantic-comedy series follows the complex love story of former lovers Lee Gyeong-do and Seo Ji-woo. The two first fell in love at 20, rekindled their romance at 28, and eventually parted ways once again.

Years passed and fate brings them back together under unexpected circumstances—Gyeong-do, now a journalist covering a high-profile affair scandal, finds Ji-woo at the center of the story as the wife of the man involved.

Seo-Joon stars as Lee Gyeong-do, an entertainment reporter at Dongwoon Ilbo. With a practical and unassuming nature, he navigates the everyday challenges of office life. However, his world is thrown into turmoil when he unexpectedly reunites with his former love, Seo Ji-woo. Their reunion comes in the wake of a scandal involving her husband, forcing them to confront their shared history.

Ji-an takes on the role of Seo Ji-woo, the second daughter of Jarim Apparel. Known as a celebrity troublemaker, Seo Ji-woo captivates the public with her glamorous presence. However beneath her celebrity status, she grapples with the consequences of her husband's actions. Her life changes when her ex, Lee Gyeong-do, exposes a high-profile affair, leading to her divorce and a dramatic reunion.

The new K-Drama will be directed by Lim Hyun Wook who previously directed King the Land and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, among others.

Previous acting projects of Seo-joon include Gyeongseong Creature, Itaewon Class, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, and Fight for My Way, among others.

In a press conference with the Philippine media for his fan meeting in October 2023, Seo-joon talked about his acting career and highlighted that he is open to doing any genre of projects.

He also shared that he wants to focus on acting at the moment and he does not consider pursuing other creative pursuits.

"Since there are a lot of different genres that exist, I really cannot say specifically that I want to try this specific genre. And of course the thing that I love the most doing is acting so at the moment I haven't thought of trying other endeavors yet," he stated.
