The Thai queer film "Love Of Siam" will be adapted into a musical, Thai company GMMTV revealed Tuesday.

During the company's trade show, the project was announced among the shows for next year.

In 2007, "Love of Siam" gained critical acclaim for its queer storyline about Tong (Mario Maurer) and Mew (Witwisit Hiranyawongkul).

Tong and Mew are childhood friends who will meet again in their teenage years and will navigate their brewing romance.

Also included in their roster is a concert for the so-called holy trinity of boys' love series composed of Krist Perawat and Singto Prachaya, Off Jumpol and Gun Atthaphan, and Tay Tawan and New Thitipoom.

The concert will be called PEBUCA from their fandom names Peraya, Babii, and Polca, respectively, set to be starting on March 2025.

The boys' love genre later gained popularity in Thailand with the "holy trinity" love teams of Tay Tawan and New Thitipoom for "Dark Blue Kiss" along with Off Jumpol and Gun Atthaphan for "Theory of Love" and Singto Prachaya and Krist Perawat for both "Sotus" and its sequel "Sotus S."

The Philippines caught up with the genre in 2020 with the series, "2gether," led by Win Metawin and Bright Vachirawit.
