Filipino boy group BGYO opened up about the true mission behind the glamor of the ABS-CBN Ball, sharing how the event supports meaningful causes.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, BGYO shared how important this kind of cause is to them.

“Sobrang important sa'min kasi masaya kami na nakakatulong sa iba, and lahat naman ng mga events ng ABS, ah napapatunayan talaga na in the service of the Filipino ang ABS-CBN,” BGYO leader Gelo expressed.

Just like in previous years, part of the proceeds from the ball will go toward supporting the ABS-CBN Foundation's advocacies, helping it continue its mission of serving the Filipino people.

Gelo also said that the event was also a special time to celebrate and connect with their fellow Kapamilya stars.

“Makakakita kami ng mga iba't-ibang mga Kapamilya, mga idols po namin. Mari-reunite kami ng mga Kapamilya at mga bagong Kapamilya. At siyempre, itong ABS-CBN Ball, parang celebration na ito nang nangyari sa buong taon natin, celebration ng lahat-lahat na pinagdaanan namin,” he shared.

Fellow member JL also expressed his gratitude for being invited to such a highly anticipated and meaningful event.

“Gusto muna siyempre naming magpasalamat sa ABS-CBN dahil, ‘yon, binigyan po nila ulit kami ng chance na makasali sa ABS-CBN Ball,” JL said.

The idol group strutted down the red carpet in their flower-inspired ensembles, styled by their very own creative director.

“Ang outfit namin styled by our creative director, Aaron Mangsat,” Mikki mentioned.

Gelo shared how their look perfectly matched the spring formal theme, saying, “Bulaklakin siya, mabulaklak."

Akira described their outfit as a “flower boy” look with “very warm colors,” while Nate added that it gave off a “soft boy” vibe.

BGYO also attended the ABS-CBN Ball in 2023, where they made a statement in sleek black and white ensembles, showcasing a classic and sophisticated style.

The Filipino boy group recently released their self-titled extended play (EP), featuring hits like "Trash" and "Divine," which have already garnered over 1.9 million and 400,000 streams, respectively, on Spotify.
