The Philippine Eagle served as the inspiration of Justine Ong's national costume in Mister International 2024.  

Designed by Bong Celario, the costume symbolizes strength and freedom, and is a reminder to safeguard the country's national bird.

"It's also a heartfelt homage to Justine's hometown, Tacloban, Leyte -- home to this majestic and iconic creature," according to a post by Mister Pilipinas Worldwide, which sent Ong as the country's delegate in the Mister International 2024 pageant. 

The Mister International 2024 finals will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday, December 14. 

Two Filipinos are part of the judging panel: actress Arci Muñoz and shoe designer Jojo Bragais. 

Ong's predecessor, Jefferson Bunney, finished in the Top 10 of Mister International last year, with Kim Goodburn of host country Thailand proclaimed as the winner.
