BTS member Jin sat down with Mission: Impossible star Tom Cruise for an interview in the latest episode of his show Run Jin.

During the interview, Tom expressed his admiration for BTS. "First of all, I just want to say congratulations. Your band, and your career, and what you've created, it's very impressive. And I'm a big fan and I'm very happy to be here to be on your show right now," the actor told Jin.

Jin, in turn, shared a personal connection to Tom's film franchise. "The first movie I saw when I turned fifteen was Mission: Impossible... And having him today on this show is such an honor," he stated.

Tom visited South Korea for the twelfth time. When asked what he admires most about the country, he relayed: "From the moment the I first came here is how impressive it is, the culture. The people are incredible, the history of Korea. Of course, I very much enjoy the food."

He went on: "And also they love movies, they make great films here. I always love coming to bring a movie here to entertain. And the music of course. It's all part of the culture what you've done. I greatly admire it."

Tom also revealed behind-the-scenes details about the high-stakes stunts in the plane and underwater in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, emphasizing the complexity of the production process.

"This movie took seven years to make and those sequences took years to develop. Very, very complicated, very technical," he pointed out.

"All of these things to come up with and figure out what kind of airplane, how to do the sequence, we're actually inventing knowledge when we're doing these."

Run Jin premiered on BANGTANTV YouTube channel in July 2024 following Jin’s discharge from mandatory military service.

The BTS member also recently released his second solo album Echo. According to a press release reported by CNA Lifestyle, "aiming to connect on a deeper level with fans through music, Echo offers Jin’s perspective on universal life experiences, capturing everyday emotions with warmth and sincerity."

The album was also described as reflecting "a deeper layer of vocal maturity and personal storytelling that underscores Jin's evolving artistry.”
