MANILA -- Singer Rhaila Tomakin denied being a third party in the relationship between Kobe Paras and Kyline Alcantara, emphasizing that she and Paras are only friends.

This comes after fans linked Tomakin to Paras after they were spotted together in Bali, Indonesia earlier this year.

“We are friends, really good friends, but that’s about it,” she said in an interview held in Quezon City, Thursday.

“I get how easily it can be misunderstood. I don’t want to disrespect anyone, but I was not trying to insert myself or hurt anyone's feelings. It was a matter of same place, same time. We had a simple moment. I don’t read too much into it,” she added.

Tomakin clarified she was in Bali with other friends and that Paras had already broken up with Alcantara at the time.

“To my knowledge, before Bali, they were already long broken up,” she recalled.

“It was a group trip. People think it was a honeymoon. We were all there together. It was so innocent. People just twisted it,” she stressed.

According to the  “Bite” singer, who shared she is only interested in long-term relationships, Paras is not the usual type she would go for.

“Kobe is not my type. I am not into sports people. I am into business people. I like a guy who can stimulate my mind. I want a guy who knows how to be a man. I don’t want to have to teach someone how to be a man. I need maturity, I want older guys,” she reasoned.

“I don’t think you should ever say no to anything, but for me personally, I am about focusing on myself right now,” she added.

While Tomakin does not know Alcantara personally, she said she wishes the Kapuso actress well.

“I wish her all the best. I wish her more projects, more love, more happiness, because girls usually get the blunt of scrutiny, no? Grabe, lalaki usually they get away scot free. Sa babae people are so critical."
