Danny O'Donoghue, lead singer of the Irish pop-rock band The Script, tied the knot with his girlfriend of four years Anais Naing on May 8 in the UK.

In a report by the Daily Mail, the newlyweds shared their joy, saying: "We’re over the moon to be married and now we take the first steps on the journey of the rest of our lives together!"

Wedding day snapshots were shared on Instagram by photographers The Falkenburgs, capturing the couple’s special moments.

It was in August 2024 when Danny proposed to Anais. In a past interview with The Sun, Danny relayed that he proposed to Anais during a hike in Norway.

"We hiked up to the top of a mountain to face the most beautiful waterfall in the world, The Seven Sisters. It’s our favourite place on Earth," he shared. "I nearly passed out from exhaustion carrying up all the champagne, glasses and food for if she said yes. I had to do it all without her knowing."

In the same interview, Danny relayed how he met his wife. "When you know, you know... I knew when it wasn’t right, but now I know whatever that is, that it’s 100 per cent right," he recalled.

"She’s great. I met her during COVID and if you’ve been with anybody through COVID it’s like you compress ten years into those years."

The Script first released their self-titled album in 2008. Among their hit tracks include "The Man Who Can't Be Moved," "Hall of Fame," "Breakeven," and "If You Ever Come Back," among others.

The band recently staged a concert in Manila in February this year.

“Thank you so much everybody for making this an incredible night for our 'Satellite Tour.' Manila, we love you so much and we’ll see you very soon," Danny said to their Filipino fans during the concert.

He went on: "Amazing. Honestly, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for making this an incredible night or our tour. We will not forget this night for a very, very long time."
