Actor Michael de Mesa once again unleashed his mother Rosemarie Gil’s “kontrabida energy” — a role she has excelled at throughout the years.  

In a short video shared on Instagram, Rosemarie was in character while delivering lines in a mix of Spanish and Filipino, channeling her iconic fierceness and “kontrabida” expressions. She asked where the car was and demanded to have it ready for her. She then called on her follower, a cameo by her husband Eddie Mesa, to hurry and follow her.

“She never lost it,” Michael wrote in the post’s caption. e car 

Michael’s wife, Julie Eigenmann, was the one who documented the video. According to Julie, the video was a one-take shot.

Julie also captured their reactions after their mother successfully delivered the lines. 

Some celebrities expressed delight on the short yet engaging video in the post’s comment section.  

Singer-actress Vina Morales wrote: “Hahahahahahahaha yessss super galing of course.”

Actor-director John Prats also commented with three clapping emojis.  

Netizens also shared their sentiments on the timeless acting prowess of the veteran actress.  

“Wait grabe nafeel ko lang na isa akong dukha isang tingin pa lang ni madam Rosemarie,” one netizen wrote.

Some of Rosemarie’s most notable projects include Florinda in 1973, Burlesk Queen in 1977, and Delia and Sammy in 2018.

Rosemarie and Eddie have been appearing on Julie's and Michael’s social media accounts as they have been actively sharing their bonding sessions together.  

On April 1, they went on a trip to Batangas to visit the new lot that they are developing in the said province. This was shared by Julie on Instagram.
