Born to a Filipino-Chinese father and a German-Filipino-Spanish mother, vlogger Crisha Uy can be considered one of the country’s most enduring content creators, having started her YouTube channel over a decade ago in 2016.

“Hindi ko na-ri-realize na matagal na pala. Siguro kasi I was just doing it everyday na hindi ko napansin yung time. Halos ten years na pala yun,” she shared with PUSH ABS-CBN during her launch as one of Cosma Clinic’s new EXION ambassadors earlier this month at BGC, Taguig City.

The pretty vlogger revealed that creating videos for such a long time did take its toll on her last year when she had to take a hiatus from vlogging.

“Na-burnout ako last year for four months. But then I used that time din to realize that I should do something else and not stick to that same thing na I’m been doing na cooking lang. Parang I think it was also good na na-burnout ako para meron akong time to re-create myself, na maggawa naman ng ibang content.

"So nag-workout ako, nag-isip isip mag-isa. Hindi muna ako nag-vi-video. And then dun ko na-realize I can do travel vlogs which I can do pag solo traveling kasi I’m still single. So Sabi ko ba’t di ko na lang yun gamitin kasi madami na palang single ngayon na until now. Like me, I’m already 36 and marami pa ring time at wala pa ring asawa at anak. Ginawa ko na yun na parang motivation to do that, na makagawa ako ng content na ganito,” she admitted.

Crisha also shared that she did try to get into acting early on in her career with a minor role in the ABS-CBN series Doble Kara which started airing in 2015.

“Actually, may nag-invite naman talaga sa akin if gusto ko mag-artista. At ginawa ko talaga yun nung una. Sa ABS-CBN yung show. But after nun, parang nahirapan ako. Hindi ko alam.  Baka kasi before, ang hirap nung time? Di ba yung taping time minsan 24 hours? I was in Doble Kara. Friend ako ni Julia Montes doon. So after nun, sabi ko hala ang hirap pala mag-artista. Hindi mo hawak yung oras mo and nasanay ako nag-ba-vlog na hawak ko yung time. But siguro, ewan ko. Hindi ko sure.

"May nagtanong nga ulit pero wait lang (laughs). Takot siguro (ako) kasi mahirap maging artista di ba? Kissing scenes and stuff, I think yun yung mga hindi ko ata kaya, yung mga ganun,” she recalled.

This year, the EXION celebrity ambassador tries her hand at acting again as part of this year’s FAMAS Short Film Festival starting next month. In a recent Instagram post, she wrote, “We are thrilled to share some exciting news our film, Day 50, has been officially selected for the 2025 FAMAS Short Film Festival! We are honored to be featured in this year’s prestigious lineup."

She continued, "In celebration of this important milestone, we are ecstatic to be joining the Festival Night on May 3, 2025, at the Victoria Sports Tower Hotel, Quezon City, and the Awards Night on May 10, 2025, at the Music Museum. These events will feature a special presentation of this year’s official film selections. We can't wait to celebrate with you all there! Mabuhay cinema!”
