Social media influencer Trina Candaza shared that she is on “good and civil” terms with the father of her daughter, Carlo Aquino, in the aspect of co-parenting. In a question and answer segment that she did on her Instagram account, the model shared how it has been so far co-parenting with the Kapamilya actor.

Trina and Carlo share a daughter, Enola Mithi, who was born back in 2020. The two were in a relationship from 2019 until 2022 when they decided to part ways.

A fan of the model-social media influencer asked how their co-parenting setup is and if she has any tips for other parents who will be co-parenting as well.

“Good and civil,” she answered straightforwardly.

She then shared some guide questions to make sure that the child’s needs will come first before anything else. She emphasized the importance of making the child happier than the parents when deciding on something on their end.

“Before making a decision or saying something, ask yourself.

  1. Is this truly in my child’s best interest?

  2. Will this make her happy?

  3. Will she gain something positive from this?,” she added.

Trina maintained that there are times that the decisions of the parents aren’t in the best interest of the child but rather their own emotions–– she asserted that this is something that should be double checked all times.

“Sometimes, we convince ourselves that our decisions are what’s best for our child, but in reality, they’re influenced by our own emotions. We try to justify them as being for the child’s good, even when they might not be. Know the line between what’s truly best for them and what we feel,” she expressed.

“Sometimes there are things that will hurt us but it’s the best for our children,” she continued.

Meanwhile, she was also asked by a fan if someone is currently courting her to which she quickly denied.

“WALA. Nawa’y ilayo ako sa mga taong stress lang dadalhin sa'kin at ilayo yung mga taong bibigyan ko lang din ng stress,” she said.

Back in 2023, she took to social media how she “braved through” the breakup with Carlo back then.

“We lost someone whom I thought will be the man who will always keep us safe, someone who will protect us. But little did I know he will be the one who is very excited to remove us from his life,” she previously wrote.
