BINI member Mikha Lim took to social media to share her thoughts on being a public figure in this era.

In a post on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), the Filipina girl group member expressed her gratitude to those who continue to care for her, even though some people label them as "problematic."

“Thank you; it’s nice to know that there are people out there who understand my state of mind right now. It is sad, isn’t it? No matter what we say or do, or even if we say nothing, we can still appear to be the bad guys or 'problematic.'” Mikha wrote.

She admitted that this constant judgment makes her afraid to express herself.

“Some are painted to be such terrible people, when all we’ve been trying to do is spread positivity. This is exactly why I’ve been scared to speak up,” she added.

Mikha noted how she has accepted being a public figure and the challenges that come with it.

“To be honest, I’ve been trying to be more active, but I don’t think everything has to be shared on the internet. In the end, to some people, it seems like what they see on social media is all that I am. I guess that’s the consequence of being a public figure, which I’ve come to terms with,” she emphasized.

The Filipina idol also confided that it pains her whenever her loved ones are criticized with harsh labels like "clout chasers" by bashers: “It hurts when I see my friends being called clout chasers or other terrible things, especially when they’ve given me so much love. Just know that I choose carefully who I surround myself with, and I will not apologize for choosing the people with whom I feel safe, loved, and happy.”

However, Mikha remains firm that she will still choose to be kind despite everything and will not hurt anyone.

“They say hurt people hurt people, and that’s true. But remember, there are also people who are hurting but choose to be kind because that’s how they want others to treat them. Even when I’m at the peak of my emotions, I will choose not to hurt others, because you do to others what you want them to do to you,” she shared.

Mikha added that she will also pray for everyone despite misunderstandings: "If we don’t see eye to eye, that’s okay. Praying for you all."

The post came after a reposted social media comment from a netizen, who expressed that they would prefer seeing Mikha less active due to the sadness brought by so-called social media issues.

Earlier reports claimed that another BINI member, Aiah, sparked dating rumors after her appearance at a PBA game, which led to various reactions from netizens.
