“I have had to lay to rest two of the closest to me in this lifetime , my baby sister Sarah who died at 9 years old and my Papa who passed away at the age of 41. Life on earth may be temporary, but love doesn’t have to die along with our loved ones. Those we remember, we keep alive in our hearts and minds,” Dimples wrote.

“If there’s anything I have learned from losing them both is that death teaches us the value of life. Just like how darkness teaches us the value of light,” she added.

She emphasized the importance of having a peaceful resting place for loved ones, saying, “One will never be truly prepared for losing family, but we can always make sure that where we lay them to rest will be a place so serene and peaceful that we would never forget to visit them, celebrate all of our lives’ victories and joys with them. And keep that hope alive that one day, we will be reunited with them too.”

Reflecting on loss and love, Dimples wrote, “A hug becomes tighter if we knew it would be the last. The days would be free from hatred and ruled only by love if we knew it would be our last. Our love would be deeper, our time would be spent better if we recognize that life is short. And all that does not speak of God’s love will not matter during our last days. Only love will matter.

"I hope you know how I miss having you around, hearing your quiet laugh and seeing your kind face. Each time a blessing lands on me and my family, I think of you. How you instilled in us the value of sharing and of giving. Of giving 'til it hurts, of sharing 'til there’s only nearly enough left and sometimes even less. For you have always believed that in giving we truly receive even more. And when we speak only of kindness and of compassion towards others, that’s when we are truly and abundantly blessed," she said.

"I love you Papa. I hope you’re eating all the good stuff up there. Be with us always. Isang yakap sa pinakamabuti, pinakamapagbigay, mapagparaya, mapagmahal at puno ng integridad na taong kilala ko. 20 years in heaven and somehow losing you feels like it was just yesterday," she added.

“Maligayang kaarawan to the man whose humility and gratitude graced every corner of our home. A life lived shortly but fully. One who cared least for material riches. And found joy in the smallest of things. May your heart continue to live in me Papa. Love you. Happy birthday,” Dimples penned.
