Founder and Chairman of Unitel/StraightShooter Antonio 'Tony' Gloria, fondly called "Mr G" by his peers, has passed away. He was 79. 

This was confirmed by Gloria's family thru his niece, Anna Bigornia, who shared the news online.

Gloria was a visionary leader in his four-decade career. With Unitel Pictures, he produced critically-acclaimed and box office movies such as 'Crying Ladies', 'Santa Santita', 'American Adobo', 'La Visa Loca', 'Isang Himala' and more.

His passion for storytelling began when he produced movies under Viva Films and worked with the industry legends such as Laurice Guillen, Emmanuel Borlaza, Leroy Salvador and National Artists for Film Ishmael Bernal and Lino Brocka. He also has a significant body of work in the world of advertising and public relations.

In 2003, he was chosen by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies – Philippines (4As) as one of the 25 Mavericks of the Advertising Industry and is a 2005 Creative Guild of the Philippines Lifetime Achievement Awardee.

Urn viewing will take place from March 25-28 and inurnment will be on the 29th at the Capilla del senor chapel in Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati.
