Kapamilya actor Seth Fedelin expressed his heartfelt gratitude after winning the Audience Award for Best Actor at the 2025 Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) in Los Angeles, California. He won for his role in My Future You.

In a post on his social media account, Seth took the opportunity to thank those who played a significant role in his success.

“Maraming salamat po. Malaking pasasalamat sa Diyos sa pag pagpapaalala sa kung sino ako. Salamat sa pamilya ko na nagbigay ng kulay at lalim sa buhay ko. Sa mga kaibigan na sumusuporta. Sa mga taong tumulong sa akin para magawa ko at mapakita ko kung anong kaya ko,” he wrote.

Seth also acknowledged the people who have mentored him in the industry and expressed his commitment to continue learning and growing in his craft.

“Sa mga naging guro ko sa trabaho na ito salamat po sa inyo. Baon ko lahat ng aral at patuloy akong makikinig at pupulot ng aral sa aking paglalakbay salamat po. Simple lang ho din akong tao na may pangarap,” he expressed.

Reflecting on his experience at the MIFF, Seth said representing their film alongside onscreen partner Francine Diaz and receiving another recognition for his role was one of the most unforgettable moments of his career.

“Para sa akin, isa ito sa mga espesyal ko na pagpunta sa ibang bansa. Hindi ko makakalimutan. Sobrang tatatak sa akin,” Seth shared in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

He also recalled the moment when he found out he would be delivering a speech for his award.

“Una, pumunta kami sa event na iton, sobrnag tumatama na yung jetlag ko,” Seth said. “Hanggang sa may lumapit sa akin na magstandby daw ako tapos sabi ko, ‘Para saan po’ kasi ‘I won’ daw.”

Despite feeling nervous, Seth wanted to speak from his heart.

“Ako kasi nakakaintindi tayo ng English pero aaminin ko hirap tayo magsalita ng English kapag kinakabahan ako,” he said. "Pagdating ko, sabi ko, ‘Ano sasabihin ko sa speech?’ Pagsampa ko ng stage sabi ko na lang na galing sa puso sasabihin ko.”

Francine Diaz, his onscreen partner, shared her thoughts on their shared success. Despite the pressure following Seth’s recognition, she said they are both grateful and motivated to achieve more together.

“Grateful kami pero at the same time may pressure lalo na nanalo (si Seth) ng Best Actor,” Francine expressed.

“Pero po para sa amin, kung ano ang dumating, pagbubutihan po namin kasi teamwork naman po. Kung mahirapan kami, at least magkasama naming haharapin,” she added.

Seth's recognition at the MIFF follows his earlier win at the Gabi ng Parangal, where he received the Breakthrough Performance Award for his role in the 2024 MMFF entries.

Seth expressed that his success has increased the pressure on his upcoming projects.

“Sa totoo lang, yung nakuha kong award, sobrang napakalaking bagay at nakakatakot dahil dapat sa susunod na hindi na lang Breakthrough. Napressure po ako kasi may mga nabasa akong comments,” Seth admitted during an interview at Star Magic Spotlight.
