Comedian-actress Rufa Mae Quinto recently hosted a fun-filled Labubu-themed birthday celebration for her daughter, Athena, last weekend

In a post shared by designer Patricia Pascual, the mother-daughter duo showcased their love for their favorite collection while twinning in custom peach-colored outfits for Athena’s special day.

“Happy 8th birthday Athena! @rufamaequinto & Athena twinning in a peach perfect custom @patriciaapascual styled by @egarivera 🎀,” the designer wrote in a caption.

Rufa Mae also took to Instagram Stories to repost photos and videos from the celebration of their vibrant event.

“Ms @rufamaequinto throws a super fun Labubu themed party for Athena's 8th Birthday! #athenaturns8 #partybitzlabubu #labubuparty #labubuthemedparty #eventstyling #eventstylists #kiddiebirthday #kiddiepartyideasforkids #labubupartyseries,” Party Bitz & Pieces, the event styling team responsible for the party’s décor, wrote.

Sofie’s Studio Photography also shared a collage of photos from the event, writing, “It was an awesome Sunday afternoon filled with love and laughter as we celebrate the 8th birthday of Athena in this most Labubu way possible! Thank you, Ms., @rufamaequinto for making us a part of Athena's special day!”

Rufa Mae has previously expressed her and Athena’s love for collecting Labubu items.

“I finally find @labubuofficial ! First labubu and friends yahoo! Go go go !” Rufa Mae said in a past post.

The mother-daughter duo also received several Labubu items from close friends, with Rufa Mae excitedly posting, “My laboobooh Athena’s first @labubuofficial , and sana dumani pa ! Finding labubu for my daughter … Saan na nga ba @_prettyquick @egarivera @cliffordponce Salamat for finding it 🌈⭐️🎉🙏🌤️🩷.”

The actress further shared her enthusiasm in another post:“Hello labubu fever with my labuboo anak - mommy La booba Inlababu! Good morning and good day! Goog good good feelings. Refreshing, Refreshed naka rest kami, dahil sa @labubuofficial.”

Rufa Mae also revealed their plans to turn their Labubu hobby into a small business.

“Busy Kami , madami kaming plans para sa kanıla, baby nya at collection sila , gusto pang gawing business 🥰🌈🎉🎁🩷 Pag mulat ng mata , wa na suklay at hilamos open surprise labubu collection agad - agad. Because of Labubu , Ngayon lang nag pakita, video or photo anak ko,” she shared.

They also hinted at hosting giveaways from their collection.

“Kaya gusto na mamigay, mag vlog, mag give away, sell daw sya sa friends sa USA! Sya na din daw mag deliver sa America …todo na to! Cutesie! Surprises ! Saya-saya!”

Several celebrities joined in celebrating Athena’s special day, including Yasmien Kurdi and husband Rey Soldevilla, Gwen Zamora and husband DJ Semerad, Faith da Silva, Phoemela Baranda, CJ Jaravata, and Rufa Mae’s legal counsel, Atty. Mary Louise Reyes.

Actress Diana Zubiri and husband Andy Smith were also present, along with actress Iza Calzado, who is also Athena’s godmother.

“So happy to make it to Athena’s Birthday!!! Ang saya na makita ka at mayakap ka muli @rufamaequinto. Go go go (three red hearts emoji),” Iza said.

Ahead of Athena’s birthday, Rufa Mae shared a throwback video of her daughter as a baby, accompanied by a heartfelt message.

“Hi little one, my minimi. I am grateful your go go growing so fast, you are my inspiration and lucky charm. I’m so overwhelmed sa Daming nagaganap sa life out there, know that for as long as I can see you smile, tanggal pagod, takot and emo ko,” Rufa Mae said.

She added, “We will protect you for as long as we live! Enjoy Sunshine Sunday yall🙏🥰.” 

Athena is Rufa Mae’s daughter with her estranged husband, Trevor Magallanes.
