On the ABS-CBN News digital show "On Cue," we asked Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano about each other's green flags.

For Pangilinan, he praised Mariano's irresistible scent. "Mabango, minsan? Joke lang. Always. My favorite scent ni Belle, I don’t know the name of it--fruity siya pero citrusy ba siya."

"Paano ko naaamoy? Grabe din mag-cologne 'to ha, pagpasok ko pa lang ng kuwarto naamoy ko na agad alam kong nandiyan na si Belle."

Mariano, for her part, affirmed that Pangilinan also smells good. "Yeah! Seryoso, ang bango tignan at mabango din talaga siya. Very clean and musky--combination na very distinct sa mga tao, pero ang ganda kasi nagma-match sa skin chemistry niya," she said, also praising the actor's generosity.

When asked what has been Pangilinan's best gift for her, the actress said: "I remember your first gift sa akin, a 'Barney' CD--the original one. Growing up, I watched 'Barney' and I told this sa kanya."

"Tapos nawala lahat ng 'Barney' merch (ko). Naiwan ko sa old house namin. So sabi ko, ano ba 'yan, sayang. So hinanap niya, nakahanap siya ng original."

Red flags

Pangilinan mentioned that one of Mariano's "forgivable" red flags was she prefers calls over text messages.

"Saka [isa pang] red flag, hindi siya nagre-reply minsan. Ok lang naman, lahat naman tayo ganun?"

He added: "Me and Belle, we don't like being on our phones all the time."

She replied: "Hindi naman ako one text away, one call away ako."

Meanwhile, Mariano said Pangilinan's red flag is that he gets annoyed when he's famished and sleepless. So what does she do to put him in a good mood?

"'Yung mga pagkain," she said. "I've known him for so long na, I know the best time to talk to him. 'Yun nga bibigyan ko ng food, minsan pag walang taping chair, bibigyan ko ng taping chair."

Love languages

One noticeable thing during the media conference was the affirming words of Pangilinan towards Mariano. We asked him if that is his love language for the actress.

"It's one of," he replied. "I always say that communication is one of the biggest things talaga, especially when you're part of something that's so long. You see yourself as teammates, not as enemies. I think that's important."

He added, "When I tell her, 'hey, we're in this together, I'm your teammate here,' it really does a lot for the both of us."

Meanwhile, Mariano said, "Lahat tayo may qualities ng lahat ng love languages. Depende lang kung ano 'yung nangingibabaw. Minsan acts of service, minsan gifts. But yeah, I agree--words of affirmation and quality time."
