Angel Locsin's hacked X (formerly Twitter) account has been recovered.

On Wednesday, January 15, the actress penned a post on her account, saying: "Hello everyone 😇 long time no chat. I just wanna say I have recovered my X account (totoo na 'to, pramis 😄)."

She added: "Thank you sa mga tumulong and @X for helping. I miss you all and ingat lagi ❣️."

This was confirmed as well by her husband, Neil Arce, who posted on X: "Account recovered!"

Fans online were quick to express their relief following the retrieval of Angel's account.

"Welcome back Miss Angel 🤝 🥰," one fan commented.

"Wow, it's been a long time, Queen!" another fan wrote.

On Tuesday, June 14, Angel's verified Facebook fan page issued a statement warning the public about her account being hacked.

Angel, who has 12.3 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), joined the platform in July 2009. Her last post was in August 2022, where she shared a vlog from her trip to Spain.

The actress has been on a showbiz break since 2022. She last hosted the Kapamilya show Iba Yan in 2020, and her final acting role was in The General's Daughter in 2019.

In an interview with Pilipino Star Ngayon in September 2024, Angel's close friend Dimples Romana shared an update about the actress.

"Parang nag-e-enjoy pa po siya sa kanyang life at home. Iba rin kasi, naiintindihan ko po kasi ako rin bilang pamilyado ako parang kung ako rin, alam mo kung kasing yaman ako ni Angel, nasa bahay na rin talaga ako," Dimples relayed.

She added that Angel has not been on social media as well: "I think hindi siya nagso-social media. I think it is a wonderful choice because ngayon din ‘di ba, a lot of the news is also — ako nga sometimes when I watch news, I feel anxious, I feel worried for the future, so it’s nice that she’s taking this time all for herself. Beautiful choice."
