Filipino pageant fans got excited during the holidays as Winwyn Marquez posted what they believe is a confirmation of her pageant comeback.

On Instagram, the actress shared a video of her dancing to "Mexicana," the official song of the recently concluded Miss Universe pageant.

"Won't hurt to hop on this new dance trend! Merry Christmas, everyone!" she said in the caption as she impressed her fans with her dancing skills. 

Marquez made history in 2017 as the first Filipina to join -- and eventually win -- the Latina-dominated Reina Hispanoamericana pageant. No other delegate from the Philippines has so far replicated her victory.

The celebrity mom is also known for her celebrity roots. She is the daughter of screen veterans Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno, and cousin of fellow beauty queen-actress Michelle Dee, who finished in the Top 10 of Miss Universe 2023.

There have been persistent rumors of Marquez joining next year's Miss Universe Philippines competition. 

Last November, she posted a photo of herself with a crown emoji, which was seen by fans as a hint of her return to pageantry.
