MANILA -- Kapamilya host Robi Domingo and his wife Maiqui Pineda received early Christmas gift with the latter sharing that she is now in clinical remission after she was diagnosed with autoimmune  disease.

Uploading a series of photos of her and Domingo on social media, Pineda said the symptoms of her autoimmune disease "are now barely detectable, even if the disease may not be completely cured."

She shared that they received the news in November when they visited her doctor in Singapore. 

Pineda called the news "the best early Christmas gift we could ever ask for." 

"Hearing those words during our trip to Singapore in November brought tears to our eyes, especially when my doctor called me a ‘Christmas miracle.’ 🙏 I’m beyond grateful for this gift and for the prayers and support that helped me keep going. Please know that it made a difference so THANK YOU! I have big plans for 2025, but for now, it’s time to enjoy the holidays with the people I love ❤️," she added.

In Pineda’s blog, Domingo told her that, "This is the Christmas miracle you asked for."

Her doctor then looked at Pineda and replied, "No, you’re the Christmas miracle."

Last September, Pineda's husband made headlines when he turned emotional as he reflected on the most important things in his life on his birthday.  In a two-part video, Domingo  sharied his desire to have a baby with wife.

In 2023, the couple revealed that Pineda is battling a rare autoimmune disease.

Domingo and Pineda got married last January in Bulacan.
