After representing the Philippines in Miss Supranational, Chanel Thomas is making a comeback on the pageant stage.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, she happily announced that she has been named The Miss Philippines Melbourne 2025.

"What an honor to be the first to represent Melbourne, the most multicultural city in Australia," she said. "As a proud Filipino-Australian, a married woman in my 30s, I am breaking traditional timelines to pursue my dreams."

"I am passionate about championing multicultural diversity, inclusion, mental health, self-worth, and faith-driven confidence, empowering women to embrace their potential," she added, citing her online platform called Flourish Godly Confident.

Thomas, who finished in the Top 10 of Miss Supranational 2017, initially uploaded a reel that showed her wearing the Miss Universe Philippines Melbourne 2025 sash.

She later on deleted the clip, saying that the title was "incorrect."

Thomas is joined by fellow Fil-Aussies Karenza De Leon and Bella Dela Cruz, who have been named The Miss Philippines Australia and The Miss Philippines Sydney, respectively.

"I am proud to announce that I will be your Miss Philippines Australia 2025," De Leon said in an Instagram post.

"We hope to make you and our community proud," she added.

Formed in 2023, The Miss Philippines is the sister pageant of Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH).

Alethea Ambrosio is the winner of the inaugural competition but she was preceded by Pauline Amelinckx as the pageant's first appointee.

Amelinckx, who placed second to Michelle Dee in MUPH 2023, finished first runner-up in Miss Supranational that same year.

This year's batch of The Miss Philippines queens also came from MUPH and were awarded the chance to compete in international pageants: Alexie Brooks for Miss Eco International, Ahtisa Manalo for Miss Cosmo, Cyrille Payumo for Miss Charm, and Tarah Valencia for Miss Supranational.

MUPH's title winner for 2024, Chelsea Manalo, won the first-ever Miss Universe Asia crown earlier this month.
