“It was such an incredible experience," said Morelos. "I get to use all of my talent or knowledge and prowess. No one knew that I sang before. People on set see a different side of me than when I'm at home or when I'm alone with my guitar and things like that."

“I feel a lot of pride, especially being Filipino and leading a movie," said Morelos. "My heart [was] filled with so much joy. Just being part of this project created more opportunities for Filipino actors to have their light and to have their moment. It’s such a lovely feeling to be seen.”

Asked about how teens are portrayed on the show, Morelos said: "Because it's a comedy and because it's not a children's sitcom, and it’s got a little more of an edge and a raunchier edge to it, it’s very similar to how teenagers talk because they are teenagers."
