Filipino rapper and hip-hop artist Matthaios has joined Asintada, an artist management and production company known for its roster of talented Filipino musicians including Gloc-9, Shanti Dope, Flow G, and Skusta Clee.

In a press conference held on Tuesday, August 13 at a cafe in Quezon City, Matthaios introduced his latest single, "Tayo Sana," which was officially released on August 9. 

The new track features Yow Andrada, who also joined him at the event.

Matthaios shared that "Tayo Sana" is a reflective piece that captures the sentiment of hoping for a lasting relationship. "'Tayo Sana' song kasi siya na wini-wish mo sa dulo [na] kayo 'yung mag e-end up together," he explained. 

This track marks a departure from his usual style as Matthaios explores acoustic elements for the first time. "Akin personally, hindi po ako nag a-acoustic songs talaga. So this is my first time na lumabas sa comfort zone ko and buti na lang kasama ko 'to," he added, referring to Andrada.

For his part, Andrada, provided insight into his contribution to the song. "Actually kasi halos lahat ng kantang mga naisusulat ko nag-uumpisa sa acoustic guitar, and it happens na hip-hop artist 'to (Matthaios)," he said. 

Andrada added that the song was written and directed by him, reflecting a lot of personal experiences and elements related to the word "ayaw."

Looking ahead, Matthaios teased his upcoming projects. "Susunod ko, di ko pa na a-announce [pero] may ilalabas ako sa October [na] new song."

"Plan ko po is once every two months mag re-release po ako ng bagong kanta," he added.

He also took a moment to thank his supporters and encourage new listeners.

"Maraming, maraming salamat sa mga nakapanood na and sa mga hindi pa nakakapanood, panoorin niyo na po ang music video ng 'Tayo Sana.'"
