So, I said, I&#x27;ve done that already. I don&#x27;t want to do another musical. I want something different. I want to sing songs that I want to sing, the ones I bopped my head to. That&#x27;s why I like being on stage. I like being blinded by the lights and that I don’t see anybody because then I can really bring out the character,” she said.Reflecting on her 30 years in the industry, she said, &quot;Ang dami! I worked with various directors, theater companies, actors and every production that I do, I always learn something whether it’s how I say a particular line, how to dress, how to act and you don&#x27;t stop learning.”Laforteza is also a proud mother to daughter Sophia, who is making a name for herself in the industry. Sophia is part of the global pop group Katseye, which recently released their debut single titled &quot;Debut.&quot; &quot;It&#x27;s a global girl group managed by Hybe x Geffen. They had a competition during the pandemic with 120,000 auditionees worldwide, and my daughter was number 1. It was a competition with 50% voting and 50% judges,&quot; she said.Laforteza&#x27;s concert is the first in this year&#x27;s Triple Threat concert series. She will perform on July 25 under the direction of Paolo Valenciano at the Tanghalang Ignacio Jimenez (CCP Black Box Theater). Singer-actress Sheila Valderrama-Martinez is scheduled for October 17, and to close the Triple Threat concert series, Tanya Manalang-Atadero will perform on December 12.<div> </div>
