She started her career four decades ago when she starred in the 1984 movie "14 Going Steady" under Regal Films with stars including Gretchen Barretto and Janice de Belen.

In a social media post on Wednesday, Montenegro took a trip down memory lane and recalled her foray into showbiz.

"40 years ago today I signed a 1yr- 10 movie contract with RegalFilms. ❤️Our launching movie as you all know was '14 Going Steady' shown in 1984. 😁 We were known as REGAL BABIES batch 2!!! 🥰" Montenegro wrote.
