For the millions of Catholic faithful in the country, the Visita Iglesia remains one of the most important traditions of the Holy Week. 

This custom, believed to have originated in Rome back in 1553 and introduced to Filipinos during the Spanish colonial era, is the practice of visiting seven different churches to recite the Stations of the Cross. 

And while many prefer to flock churches closest to their homes, one can take advantage of the religious holiday and go see those featured in their favorite Kapamilya television shows. 

Here's a list of the churches you may want to include in your Visita Iglesia.

National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels (San Miguel, Manila)

Tenten (Enrique Gil) and Serena (Liza Soberano) finally meet in front of the altar to exchange wedding vows, as shown in the finale of the hit ABS-CBN teleserye, "Dolce Amore" which aired on August 26, 2016. The episode used the hashtag “#TheMostBeautifulFinale” and it was just fitting that the wedding scene was shot in the beautiful National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels in Manila.

Santuario de San Vicente de Paul (Quezon City)

The wedding of Amor (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Eduardo (Ian Veneracion) in the phenomenal series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” was one of the most anticipated onscreen unions. It was a private ceremony that started solemnly. All guests were either close friends or relatives of the couple. Everything was lovely that it’s no wonder the staff behind the series chose the equally beautiful Santuario de San Vicente de Paul in Quezon City as the location for the wedding.

Divine Mercy Parish (Biluso, Silang, Cavite)

The ABS-CBN series “Tubig at Langis,” which debuted in February 2016, tells the story of Irene (Cristine Reyes), a single mother who learns to trust and love again when she marries her childhood sweetheart Natoy (Zanjoe Marudo). The two characters had their wedding at Divine Mercy Parish at Biluso, Silang, Cavite.

Taal Basilica (Batangas)

It was here where one of the most memorable scenes of the hit daytime series "Be Careful With My Heart" was filmed -- when Sir Chief (Richard Yap) teared up as Maya (Jodi Sta. Maria) walked down the aisle to marry him. It was also here where the two exchanged vows to grow old together. 

San Guillermo Parish Church (Bacolor, Pampanga) 

Located in Bacolor, this church appeared as the main location of the award-winning series "May Bukas Pa" starring then child star Zaijan Jaranilla as Santino, a character based on the protagonist of the 1955 Spanish film "Marcelino Pan Y Vino." 

San Bartolome Apostol Parish Church (Nagcarlan, Laguna)

This church and its iconic brick bell tower proved to be the perfect setting for 2005's "Kampanerang Kuba," a fantaserye topbilled by Anne Curtis. The story, inspired by Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," follows Imang, the young kuba who grows up to be the kampanera or the person who rings the church bell.

St. Peter of Alcantara Parish Church (Pakil, Laguna)

In front this church in Pakil was where Coco Martin as Juan dela Cruz iconically fended off aswangs using the "Bakal ng Krus" in the trailer for the hit 2013 series. It was one of ABS-CBN's most successful fantasy-drama, spawning a spin-off series titled "My Little Juan" starring child actor John Izzy Canillo.
