MANILA—It's been more than a year since "It's Showtime" introduced "Miss Q&A," a pageant which provided members of the LGBT community a space to show off their wit and beauty.

It's one of the show's most successful segments in recent years --and that was made apparent when it became the central theme for this year's anniversary celebration.

On Saturday, marking their ninth year on television, the hosts of "It's Showtime" decided to have a little fun and tried out being a "Miss Q&A" contestant, curious as to what it felt like.

Out came Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Jhong Hilario, and Hashtag members Kid Yambao and Nikko Natividad in gowns and full makeup --all playing gay pageant contestants.

The structure for them was no different, with each round that tested their cleverness trimming the field by one.

In the end, Kid Yambao, who went by the name "Kid Kardashian," and Jhong Hilario, dubbed "Alakdawn Zulueta" --alluding to his "Ang Probinsyano" character-- emerged as the top two.

Their ribbing proved to be a hit with the audience, with Hilario and Yambao going back-and-forth about how confident they are that they can beat one another and win the whole thing.

Yambao is a crowd favorite thanks to his stunning transformation, and that he was considered an underdog due to his poor showing during a practice round. When asked about the ingredients of chicken chop suey, he drew laughs by answering random stuff such as chicharon and general terms such as "gulay."

He would considerably improve, and nearly won the title with his heartfelt answer, albeit confusing one, about learning the value of family throughout his stay on "It's Showtime."

Hilario edged the final round when he said that what he learned from being a host fo the program was that a family needs to solve their problems --together.
