Liza Soberano has denied breaking up with boyfriend and love team partner Enrique Gil, a rumor that began while she was taking a break from the spotlight to undergo surgery for her injured finger.

Soberano, who has been inactive on social media for more than two weeks, was asked by her talent manager Ogie Diaz about the speculations that she and Gil had called it quits.

She denied it and said that they are still together: "Oo naman," adding that they maintain contact through video chat.

Soberano is currently in the US, recovering from the surgery she underwent because of a bone infection.

In the same interview, the actress said that it will take at least a 14 weeks for her to recover from this newest operation.

She will undergo another one afterwards, she revealed.

Soberano also admitted that she misses working the most while she waits for her finger to heal.

The finger injury has forced her out of her role in the planned "Darna" movie and it remains unclear when she will return to acting.

She is set to a movie and a teleserye with Gil.
