MANILA – Marcelito Pomoy could not stop gushing about the time he personally met his ultimate idol, Grammy-winning singer Celine Dion, while he was in the United States.

On Facebook, Pomoy shared his photo with Dion as he profusely thanked American TV host Ellen DeGeneres, who gave him tickets to the singer’s concert at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last Friday.

Pomoy said Dion’s security was too strict, but he didn’t mind this because “just to be near her is a memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

“This is her 10th to the last show in Caesars Palace. Buti na lang nakahabol pa. Hindi ko kasi afford ang ticket kaya super thank you Ellen DeGeneres sa libreng plane ticket, hotel accommodation, concert ticket and most of all sa meet-and-greet na hindi ma-e-experience ng iba kung walang malakas na backer,” he said.

To end his post, Pomoy thanked the Lord for giving him a talent that has paved the way for him “to meet these famous people I am just wishing to see even from afar.”

“Ang lakas ko talaga sa’yo Panginoon,” he said.

Pomoy appeared on DeGeneres' show in October last year.
