MANILA -- Just last year, months after calling off their engagement, Denise Laurel admitted that she and former fiance, PBA player Sol Mercado, were working on fixing their relationship.

The actress also admitted at the time that she was still in love with the professional athlete.

Well it seems they were able to iron out whatever kinks they had since on Monday, Laurel openly expressed her love once again for Mercado as she greeted him on his birthday.

She also posted several sweet photos, including one showing them kissing.

In the caption, she praised him for his fire, passion, strength, determination, "impeccable discipline," wisdom and "beastyness in everything you do," as well as his love for family.

But she said the reason she fell in love with him in the first place was because of his love of God and his "huge faith."

"And that's the same reason why I fall in love with you over and over everyday!" she wrote.
