Even unprepared, she sure can belt out a good song.

Marinel Santos, who finished third in the 2003 singing contest "Star in a Million," sounded great as she wowed curious onlookers when she casually took the mic of a karaoke machine inside a mall.

She indulged those asking for her to sing the contest favorite "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin."

"Mall staff requested me to jam at the karaoke," she wrote as her caption to the video she uploaded on Facebook.

Her clip, which showed her soaking in the applause from those lucky few who caught her impromptu performance, has since been viewed nearly 100,000 times in less than 24 hours.

Santos, who is currently based in Macau, China, is on vacation here in the Philippines.

She is best known as one of the finalists of the first season of "Star in a Million," which Erik Santos won more than a decade ago.
