MANILA — A conversation between two Filipinos inside a plane in Negros Occidental raised concern among the crew, resulting to the offloading of every passenger, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) reported Saturday.

According to CAAP, a Cebu Pacific crew member heard passengers Reynaldo Aleroso and Ernesto Erise talking about "watusi" — which is predominantly known as a firecracker and is prohibited inside the plane.

"Oi, naubos na ba 'yong watusi mo?" Aleroso asked Erise.

The crew member immediately talked to them to clarify what they meant, and the two explained "watusi" refers to condom in gay language. They also apologized for the confusion.

However, as a precaution, the airline decided to deplane all the passengers and cargo to conduct a K9 bomb-sniffing inspection and security paneling.

The aircraft was later cleared for flight resumption to Manila, while Aleroso and Erise were rebooked for an afternoon flight the same day.
