MANILA - A gaming monitor whose refresh rate can reach as high as 540hz highlighted ASUS Republic of Gamers' launch of its PC peripherals and accessories Tuesday afternoon.

Higher refresh rates are especially important to first-person shooting games such as Valorant and Counter-Strike 2, two FPS titles that are very particular with accuracy and headshot rates.

At a private event in San Juan, ASUS touts ROG Swift Pro PG248QP as the "fastest" esports-grade monitor available in the market.

"ASUS is the very first to introduce the 540 hz [monitor] in the market," Nadine Cabe, ASUS' Deputy Business Development Manager.

The ROG Swift Pro's screen is 24.1-inch wide and eliminates motion blur, and is anchored on  E-TN technology, massively contributing to its fast response time.

What's massive in specs is also massive in price point, as the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP costs around P61,495.00, according to DataBlitz's and Game One PH's websites.

Aside from this, ASUS also announced the ROG Swift PG27A, which has a 360 hz refresh rate. While its refresh rate is smaller than that of the ROG Swift Pro, its screen is larger at 27 inches.

Among the other highlights of the release is a lightweight mouse - the ROG Keris II Ace, which ASUS co-tested with Valorant pro player and retired Counter-Strike: Global Offensive athlete Sam "s0m" Oh.
