There's truly something inspiring about K-dramas that focus on transformations, on pursuing dreams, and fantasies becoming realities. Such is the case for much-talked about drama 'Castaway Diva', which is currently streaming on Netflix. If you haven't caught up with the craze just yet, you still have a few weeks to catch up!

It stars Park Eun-bin, the extraordinarily talented actress who starred in last year's hit drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'. Coincidentally, both dramas bring out the best in Eun-bin, equally showcasing her acting skills, but this time, in Castaway Diva, we witness her in full vocal glory. The drama follows the story of a small town girl who has big dreams of making it as a singer in the big city. She navigates a rather challenged childhood with her father, and as she does, meets a classmate who has a similar plight in life. This classmate (played by Moon Woo-jin) encourages her to pursue her dream, planning to run away from the small island they've come to know as home. As fate has it, Seo Mok-ha falls overboard a ship heading to Seoul and finds herself stranded in a deserted island. She ends up living there and surviving for 15 years.

Eventually she is found, and as her fate unfolds, is connected to her childhood idol Yoon Ran-joo (played by Kim Hyo-jin), with the both of them helping each other realize their dreams. From a distressed island girl to living in the city and transforming into a real-life diva, we witness Park Eun-bin bloom before our very eyes.
