It’s Showtime had a debutante-like production for their host, Amy Perez, as she turned 55 on Thursday, September 5.

“Noong bata ako hindi ako nag-debut party (dahil) pinili ko yung regalo na taravel ng Tatay ko. At least ngayon na-experience ko,” she expressed. “Thank you. I appreciate it.”

Amy, who is popularly called as Tyang Amy, was serenaded by XOXO member Riel and Tawag ng Tanghalan alum Marielle Montecillo and JM Dela Cerna with her favorite songs “Jesus Thank You” and “Never My Love.”

“Yung 'Jesus Thank You' kasi ayan yung araw araw na pinapatugtog ko sa kotse kapag nagdadrive ako papunta dito. Parang ayan yung praise and worship song ko,” she explained as Karylle revealed that the songs were part of her playlist.

“Yung 'Never My Love,' ayan yung kanta na kinakanta ko sa mga anak ko noong baby sila na now natutunan na rin (nila),” she added.

Amy also got emotional during her performance of the song “Come What May” where It’s Showtime’s male hosts, including Vhong Navarro, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang, Darren Espanto, and Ogie Alcasid gave her a grand cotillion moment.

“'Yung Come What May,' if you listen to it, yung words ng kanta na yan lalo na iyong first verse, kanta ko sa asawa ko. Ayan yung kinanta sa wedding namin,” Amy remarked.

“Ayan talaga yung message ko sa kaniya. The way he looks at me, the way he treats parang like nobody else. Thank you for the love, babe. Maraming maraming salamat,” she continued.

Her radio show, Sakto, friends also visited Amy and sent her birthday messages and well wishes.

“Tama yung sinabi nila na ikaw talaga yung tunay na Tyang na maalalahanin at nakakatakot ka talaga magalit,” Jeff Canoy quipped.

Ariel Rojas added, “Thank you for always supporting and welcoming me here.”

Amy’s real life niece and co-host Karylle also had heartfelt greetings to her Tyang, who has been a very special person in her life.

“To my roomie, to my real Tita Amy, maraming salamat siyempre hindi siguro alam ng lahat na ang dami ko pinagdaanan recently and Tita Amy was completely there for me and I think sa iyo ako talaga  humugot ng lakas. Napakahirap. I found out my bad news here on Showtime and I knew exactly who to tell,” she emotionally said.

She went on: “Thank you. I will always be grateful. You do so much for all of us here. Mula sa gusto mo na gustong mo na smooth na smooth ang show every day.”

“You really have given us so much love in your very small but many ways. Bawat araw ang dami mong ginagawa para sa amin. Kung mayroong may maliit na problema, alam nating may kakatok sa dressing room natin. Alam mo na ikaw ang takbuhan namin sa bawat problema.”

“I don’t know nasurvive ko itong buwan na ito, but it’s actually because of you,” she continued.

Vhong also expressed gratitude at how Amy became a big part of strengthening their relationship as family in the show.

“Kapag may tampuhan dito sa pamilya natin, si Tyang Amy ang gumigitna para ayusin,” Vhong shared. “Si Tyang Amy yun yung inexplain sa bawat isa  yung mga nangyayari para magkaayos. Salamat, Tyang Amy.”

Tyang, I love you so much.”

On her social media page, Amy also posted an old photo of herself with a short but sweet caption of her life journey.

“I've been up and down. My life has turned completely upside down. But despite everything I've gone through, you're always there for me. Jesus, thank you! Praise God for 55 years of his goodness. #funfuntyangamy #shineforJESUS,” she wrote.
