"Sige po palaganapin niyo lang siya kasi wala naming harm, you know, positive lang. Eyy ka muna, eyy."

These were the words of BINI Sheena when she shared her reaction to being dubbed as the "mother" of the "Eyy" trend.

Sheena admitted that she was caught by surprise when "Eyy" became viral on social media.

"Nagugulat ako na sa mga casuals... kung saan-saan ko na nakikita ‘yung ‘Eyy’, actually ‘di ko alam kung ano’ng mafi-feel ko,” she confessed in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

For those who don't feel like doing the "Eyyyy" trend, Sheena pointed out: "If ayaw mo mag-'Eyy' eh you just close your ears, di ba? Huwag kang makinig. Basta 'Eyyyy' lang. Positive vibes lang around here. If you are happy, say 'Eyy.'"

Sheena recalled that the trend started when she said it to a fan in their BINIverse concert.

"Mayroong ‘Bloom’ na nagsabing ga-graduate siya. Ta’s naiiyak siya. Eh alam niyo naman ayoko na umiiyak 'yung mga tao, so sabi ko, ‘Eyy ka muna, eyy.’ So at least, nakapag-eyy muna siya bago siya humagulgol,” she recounted.

Sheena is the youngest member of BINI. She is also the main dancer of the girl group.

The BINI members recently wrapped up all four legs of their BINIverse concert which included Manila, Baguio, Cebu, and General Santos City.
