KATSEYE, the highly anticipated girl group formed by HYBE in partnership with Geffen Records, is set to debut their first single on June 28.

The group will follow this with a second single in July and an EP in August, as announced by the company on Friday, June 14. This announcement was made through KATSEYE’s official Weverse page, and through the released Official Logo Motion.

“KATSEYE will embark on a new journey alongside their fans, showcasing everything it has been preparing,” HYBE stated.

KATSEYE consists of six members who were finalists on the survival show The Debut: Dream Academy, which took place in Los Angeles, California, in September 2023.

The group members include Sophia from the Philippines, Yoonchae from Korea, Manon from Switzerland, and Lara, Megan, and Daniela from the United States.

In addition to their musical releases, a docuseries will also be released following the journey of the 20 original contestants. This series, produced by HYBE, Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures is directed by award-winning filmmaker, Nadia Hallgreen.

The docuseries, entitled Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE is set to share the behind-the scenes process of putting together this global girl group. The date for the release of this docuseries has not yet been released.

KATSEYE has been active on social media, particularly YouTube, where they regularly post content for their fans.

Fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting KATSEYE’s debut, anticipating their unique blend of talent and international appeal.

Sophia Laforteza, daughter of actress Carla Guevara Laforteza, will be the first Filipina to debut under HYBE. Sophia also ranked first overall in the finale of The Debut: Dream Academy, which solidified and ensured her spot as a member of KATSEYE.
