Celebrity parents Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla had sweet messages for their son Leon Barretto on his 21st birthday.

On her social media page, Marjorie penned a message to her only son.

“Happy 21st birthday to my only son Leon!! I can’t imagine a life without you, Kuya. You are everyone’s go to person. Our gentle giant, the best son, brother and friend!” she expressed.

Marjorie also expressed her gratitude to her son and wished him to be with the best people in his life.

“Thank you for all the hard work you put into school, Kuya. I appreciate how you make everything easier for me. I love you so much,” she said.

She went on: “My greatest wish and prayer for you, a bright future, good health and that you will be surrounded with all the right people around you. Cheers to 21!”

Leon then replied to his mom’s message, “LOVE U MOM.”

She also had a separate post showing how she and Leon had become a great team together.

“You and me always. The best son one could ever have! Happy Birthday, Leon! I’m so blessed to be your Mom❤️,” Marjorie said.

Several celebrities and personalities, such as Attorney Leni Robredo and daughter Jill Robredo, Edu Manzano, Tim Yap, Karen Davila, Jenny Miller, Franco Laurel, Karla Estrada, and Ruffa Gutierrez also greeted Leon on his special day.

Actor and comedian Dennis Padilla also had a sweet message for his son, whom he wasn’t able to spend time with.

“Dear Leon... Happy birthday anak!! Love you... Hope to see you soon 🙏🎂♥️,” Dennis wrote in his Instagram post.

Along with Dennis's message was a photo collage of himself and Leon and a selfie showing him holding a message.

“Dear Leon Marcux, Happy b-day anak. God bless you more!! We love you!! (heart emoji) Papa,” he said with Leon’s birth date written on the paper.

Leon then replied, “Thank you Papa 😊🙏🏼.”

Netizens who noticed Leon’s reply to his father’s message expressed appreciation since it appeared that they had reconciled after reports of conflict between the two.

“@theleonbarretto thanks God at ok na po kau sa papa nyo.. hopefully to see u reunite with ur papa together with ur sibs juju and clau😍😍,” a follower commented.

Another netizen expressed, “@theleonbarretto best gift ever sa heart mo.. may you and your dad have peaceful conversation. God Bless you both. Mas pinakita mo ang pagiging mabuti mong anak. Mapagmahal sa magulang. Good Job Leon! ❤️❤️❤️ HBD to you.”

Dennis and his children with Marjorie—Julia, Claudia and Leon—have had a rough relationship for the past few years and he had to be content with speaking to his kids through social media.

In a vlog back in 2022, Julia acknowledged the rift that had grown between her siblings and their father. Nevertheless, she did not close any doors on eventually healing their relationship and resolving the conflict.

“I'm not sure if it can ever be the same again, but I do hope for healing and just ma-resolve,” said Julia.

Last February, Dennis shared how happy he was as he received a birthday message from his daughter, Julia.

“Julia, thank you at nag-text ka sa akin nung birthday ko,” shared Dennis proudly in a video taken at a get-together with showbiz colleagues after they attended the senate hearing on the Eddie Garcia Bill ten days after his birthday.

The birthday greeting made Dennis’s supporters hopeful for their reconciliation.
