Actor Ken Chan was served with a warrant of arrest at his house in Quezon City earlier today, November 8. Despite the arrest warrant issued for the Kapuso actor, the Philippine National Police was unable to meet him at his Quezon City house as he wasn’t home at the time of the visit.

Ken faces charges of Syndicated Estafa–– a non-bailable offense under Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code.

One of the complainant’s lawyers, Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada, was present at the failed arrest attempt of Ken. He shared with the media in attendance that his client gave money to the actor which would be around ₱14 million.

“Dito pa sa kaso na aking hinahawakan, iisa lang yung complainant pero hindi ko po alam kung may other complainants against them. Pero ito po sa kaso na ito isa lang ang nirerepresent namin na complainant. More or less ang involved na pera ay 14 million,” he shared.

The lawyer added that they will continue to search for Ken to serve him the arrest warrant and put an end to this case once and for all. According to him, the Kapuso star wasn’t authorized to solicit investment from the public.

“Siya po kasama ang mga [iba] pang accused, sila po ay nakasuhan ng syndicated estafa under Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code. Meron po silang pending na kaso sa husgado na at meron ng pending warrant of arrest,” he said.

If proven guilty, Ken and his fellow accused could face the maximum penalty of life imprisonment.

Previously, veteran columnist and talent manager Ogie Diaz revealed to the public about Ken’s case which shocked many of his fans.

“Yung isa naman ay nagsabi sa akin na ₱30 million aabot ‘yung pera nila ng mga friends niya na naipasok kay Ken Chan. Tapos meron pang isa na naghahabol din ng kanyang pera kay Ken Chan kasi nga ginagawang front yung mga businesses na sabi sa akin ay hindi naman daw naasikaso nang madalas ni Ken Chan,” Ogie revealed.

Meanwhile, Ken shared photos of himself on his Instagram Stories enjoying his time in New York City. It is unclear if the Kapuso actor is in the US right now or if he uploaded old photos in his Instagram Stories.

Ken has yet to make an official statement as well about his warrant of arrest as of this writing.
