South Korean actor Song Jae-rim passed away earlier this week as reported by local media. Seongdong Police Station in Seoul, South Korea confirmed last November 12 that the body of the actor was found in his apartment which was in their district.

Song Jae-rim was 39 years old during the time of his passing.

The exact cause of the actor’s death has not yet been confirmed but a two-page letter was reportedly found at the scene of his death. Police officials stated that there are no signs of foul play at this point of their investigation.

Meanwhile, fans of the South Korean actor took to social media to express their grief over the passing of their favorite actor.

“I will remember the good times. Thank you, Oppa, for making us laugh. You're the best 'fake husband.' No more pain. RIP,” a fan shared.

“One of my favorite dramas from song jaerim is yaksha. I love how his bond with jinyoung are so bold. may you rest in peace, and may you've found what you've been longing for. we just lost one of the brightest stars,” another fan added.

“Omg this is so devastating, he's one of the few that is actually nice, use to rewatch his episodes of we got married a lot cos he's so funny and he have great chemistry with Kim so eun, such a terrible loss, a really good actor, may he rest in peace, 39 too young,” a netizen wrote.

Meanwhile, comments to all of his Instagram posts have been turned off as of this writing. Despite this, fans took notice of his Instagram bio which translates to: ‘The beginning of a long journey’.

Song Jae-rim rose to fame with his role in the hit 2012 South Korean drama, The Moon Embracing the Sun, where he played the role of Kim Jae-woon. He made his acting debut in the 2009 film Actresses and was even featured in 2NE1’s music video, "Go Away."

His last Korean drama was earlier this year with My Military Valentine where he portrayed the role of Sung Jae-hoon––a special forces soldier in the North Korean army.
