As one of the most low-key couples in showbiz, fans have always rooted for actor Jericho Rosales and his international model wife Kim Jones despite them not being active in local showbiz.

The couple wed in Boracay in 2014 and have been shuttling between Manila and New York where they own a home. Last October, the two were seen on the red carpet of the ABS-CBN Ball.

But rumors started circulating online of a married celebrity couple who have yet to reveal their separation and netizens started believing that the reports were referring to Echo and Kim.

Echo dispelled the rumor and assured the press he and Kim were going strong before performing at a Zion event last January 12. “We’re happy. We’re good. We’re amazing, fantastic, we’re good,” he said.

When pressed to comment on his reaction to his relationship being questioned online, the 44-year-old actor looked taken aback and said, “Yeah no comment. Because this is not the place. I never really talk about my relationships.”

But when asked about the state of his heart, Echo gamely replied, “It’s good. Great. Fantastic. Amazing!”

For 2024, Echo said he will become more visible in the Philippines as he works on more acting projects aside from SellBlock.

“I don’t want to make announcements yet but I’m back. I’m going to stay here in Pinas for now to pursue my film career. Still singing of course. We finished SellBlock so it’s coming this year and working on a couple of movies. Siyempre we’re very, very excited for SellBlock kasi ang tagal na naming ginagawa yung SellBlock eh. Everyone’s excited, meaning my entire team and the actors and the producers so we’re so happy. Thank you,” he shared. 

In an exclusive interview with PUSH in 2016, Echo talked about how he and Kim are able to successfully juggle their career and married life. “It’s very difficult. Some people say we’ve got a very modern relationship, she travels a lot, we just saw each other in New York 15 days and I came back and she’s doing the fashion week. Total opposite ‘yung time. I came from Canada, did this show then flew to NY to see her and then back again straight to work.

“It’s a very difficult season for Kim. It’s a matter of being on point. Kim is a career woman and I wanna give that to her. I guess to sum it all up I’ve always go back to ‘yung philosophy namin ni Kim sa relationship that our relationship comes first,” he shared. 

After making his ABS-CBN acting debut in the 1997 series Esperanza, Echo has been considered as one of the kapamilya network’s most enduring leading men and was last seen in 2019 in the teleserye Halik along with Yen Santos, Yam Concepcion, and Sam Milby.

He returns to acting this year in the upcoming prison series SellBlock which chronicles the activities of Asia's biggest drug empires operating from inside prison. It also stars Angel Aquino, Mon Confiado, Empoy Marquez, Soliman Cruz, Michael de Mesa, and Ronnie Lazaro.
