It’s been years since Sharon Cuneta and ex-husband Gabby Concepcion parted ways, but the Sha-Gab magic still remains up to this day. And now, fans can look forward to another exciting collaboration no one saw coming as the former ex-couple is set to reunite for a concert.

Dear Heart is the same name as the hit film in which Sharon and Gabby starred in back in 1981.

On Wednesday, August 9, Sharon shared the official poster for the concert.

“Dear Heart, the Concert. MOA. October 27, 2023 @concepciongabby Tickets will be available starting 12noon on August 15, 2023 via SM TICKET OUTLETS NATIONWIDE or at www.smtickets.com #dearhearttheconcert,” Sharon wrote in her post.

The movie Dear Heart follows the story of April (played by Sharon Cuneta), a woman from a well-off family. In the film, she meets the character of Gabby Concepcion named Jimmy.

Apart from the film being a success, it also became instrumental in establishing Sharon and Gabby’s love team which became a phenomenon back in the ‘80s. But more than anything else, it brought a different kind of magic to the reel-to-real relationship between Sharon and Gabby.

A few years later, Sharon and Gabby married each other and eventually had a daughter — KC Concepcion. Their marriage only lasted for three years, and the couple parted ways in 1987.

Decades after they decided to go their separate ways, the Sha-Gab magic is still alive.

Earlier this year, Sharon announced that she and Gabby will reunite in October this year for a concert that pays homage to one of their best films together.

Fans shared their excitement following the release of the poster. 

"WE WAITED FOR THIS FOR SO LONG OMG, SHAGAB NATION REALLY WON!!!" one fan wrote.

"Magigimbal ang buong kasuloksulokan ng MOA," another fan wrote.

Both Sharon and Gabby are now with different partners. Sharon is married to former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and while Gabby is with Genevieve Gonzales.
