Adie has been a roll having released back-to-back hits in the past years. After making his debut with “Paraluman,” he followed it with “Tahanan” then “Mahika,” “Kabado,” then the 2023 single, “G.K.Y.A.M.” (Gusto Kita Yun Ang Mahalaga).

After teasing his fans about his upcoming music on his social media accounts, Adie finally dropped his latest single, “Kursunada” ahead of his forthcoming debut album. The 22-year-old OPM singer-songwriter’s new track brings a chill, lovely, and groovy mood as he combines his R&B, hip-hop, folk and pop influences.

Adie describes “Kursunada,” as “kinda personal” for him as he finished writing it in one sitting.

“Kursunada” – basically a Tagalog term for “type” or “like” towards someone – was inspired by Adie’s personal experience talking to a girl online and just by her social media appearance, he could already say that she is his ideal girl that he wants to be with her even though he has never seen her in person and does not know much about her identity.

“I think the song is kinda personal for me because I wrote the whole stuff in one sitting,” shared Adie. “Maybe I was very inspired and dedicated during the time I’m creating the song because my emotions were very raw,” he said.

Produced by Adie himself, along with Franz Sacro, “Kursunada” – released under O/C Records – marks his second single this 2023 following “G.K.Y.A.M.” which now has 8 million streams on Spotify and has more than 300 thousand collective views for his lyric video and music video for the said song.

Adie has been given three platinum record awards this year for his singles “Paraluman,” “Mahika” – his collaboration with Janine Berdin, and “Tahanan” as they reached the 100 million streams mark on Spotify. “Mahika” will also be part of the soundtrack for upcoming movie, Cheating Game.

Last year, Rolling Stone named Adie as one of the rising international artists on Spotify.

“Kursunada” is now available on all digital music streaming platforms.
