Singer Garie Concepcion gave birth to a healthy baby girl last July. This is her first child with longtime boyfriend, BuDaKhel singer Michael Pangilinan.

Garie—real name Maria Gabrielle—is the daughter of Gabby Concepcion and businesswoman Grace Ibuna. Her older half sister KC Concepcion is Gabby’s daughter with ex-wife Sharon Cuneta.

Actress Bianca Lapus, who has been helping Garie with her singing career, was the one who confirmed the news with PEP.

Bianca also shared how hands-on Michael is as a father to their newborn baby.

“Talagang napaka-hands on ni Khel. Siya ang nagpapalit ng diaper at linis ng poops ng kanilang baby girl. Attumitigil umiyak kapag kinakantahan ng daddy niya. Kakatuwa,” she said.

Bianca also gave a description of the new baby. “Eyes ni Garie, pero lumaban talaga si Michael. Hahaha! Daddy’s girl yun for sure,” she added.

The singer gave birth at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City, but the couple has yet to make an official statement about the matter.

Last March 5, in an Instagram post, Garie announced that she was expecting her first child, expressing her excitement on the prospect of finally being a mother and considering it a blessing.

“I have had my fair share of highs and lows these past years,” she said. “These things and experiences, which sometimes you question, must have a purpose in this journey called life.”

On June 9, Garie posted three consecutive videos on her Instagram page, showing a brand-new bedside crib (or standalone crib) in the first video for their baby.

In an interview with Boy Abunda in 2016, Michael, who became famous because of the song "Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako," revealed his relationship with Garie to the public.

Michael also has a child with ex-partner, actress Erin Ocampo. Their son Ezekiel was born on December 15, 2015.

Before they started dating, Garie said she was okay with Michael already being a father.
