Kathryn Bernardo pays tribute to ‘Lolo Sir’ Ronaldo Valdez following his passing

Kathryn Bernardo paid tribute to veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez on social media following his passing. 

She also took the opportunity to offer a glimpse into the memories they shared together.

Kathryn got to work with the late actor in the Kapamilya series 2 Good 2 Be True in 2022.

From behind-the-scene clips of their shoots to red carpet events to meals shared together, Kathryn looked back on some of the most memorable moments she had with Ronaldo.

Recently, Ronaldo attended the premiere night of Kathryn's movie A Very Good Girl. 

The actress posted a clip of her conversation with Ronaldo that transpired during the movie's premiere night.

"Job well done. And then thank you so much for arranging that I was able to come. And most of all, I love you and I miss you," Ronaldo told Kathryn.

Kathryn responded: "I love you and I miss you more."

In 2 Good 2 Be True, Kathryn played the role of a hardworking nurse named Ali. Meanwhile, Ronaldo played the role of Sebastian "Hugo" Agcaoili an elderly billionaire with Alzheimer's Disease.

In the show, Ronaldo's character was fondly called "Lolo Sir" by Kathryn's character.

In November 2022, Kathryn penned a heartfelt message for Ronaldo following the finale of their show.

"Tito Ron, Ali wouldn't be effective without Lolo Sir, she wouldn't have been able to do every single scene if not for your support," Kathryn wrote.

She added: "I appreciate our random talks about life, your experiences, your favorite food, and so much more. You trusted me fully and I will always be grateful for that. You showed us who you really are behind the 'veteran actor' people know you as, and we just loved you even more. I didn't expect to be so close to you. Thank you."

In response to Kathryn's message, Ronaldo also took to social media to pen a message for Kathryn.

"Gracious, Kathie! Anu ba yan? Aga-aga pinaiyak mo ko, kainis ka! Everything u said, ryt back at ya!" he wrote back in November 2022.

He added: "I think dis is a mutual admiration society. You will now n forever be my very much luvd 5th apo."

It was on Sunday, December 17, when the police confirmed that Ronaldo passed away. He was 77 years old.
