After officially joining the Viva Artists Agency family last year, Andre Yllana, the only son of Jomari Yllana and Aiko Melendez, said he is excited to see where his career takes him, starting off with his latest project this year. As part of the cast of the Vivamax Original series The Seniors, the 23-year-old actor hopes to use his favorite advice from his mom on and off the set.

“Siguro yung pinaka advice na binigay ng mom ko is yung pagiging humble. Kahit saan namang trabaho, hindi lang dito sa The Seniors, yung pagiging humble and to have respect sa lahat ng mga taong makakasama mo at makakatrabaho dahil respeto yung pinakabunga ng pagsasama. Kapag may respeto ka sa tao, siyempre tuloy tuloy na yung pagsasama niyo sa isa’t isa,” he shared during The Seniors mediacon.

Siguro yung pinaka highlight nung high school life ko was we had this batch outing before our graduation tapos we went to the mountains for a camping trip. Yun siguro yung pinaka memorable kasi dun nabuo yung samahan namin na after graduation we still keep in touch and nagkukumustahan kami ng mga friends ko. I guess yun yung pinaka memorable, nung nag-outing kami ng batch namin before graduation,” he recalled.

“Huwag na huwag niyong damdamin or huwag niyong sosolohin. Find someone who you can tell your hurts to. Para hindi mo sinosolo kasi dun tayo naaapektuhan ng husto pag masyado na natin dinadamdam. Kaya isipin na lang natin na siguro kung may nag-bu-bully sa atin, siguro nga inggit sila or they have problems sa bahay. Siguro intindihin na rin natin or kung kaya niyong i-confront yung taong yun kung saan ba nanggagaling ito. Dahil may pinanggagalingan lahat ng pam-bu-bully like insecurities and all. Kaya I guess the best thing to do is to be vocal about it and talk to someone about it,” he explained.
