Actress KC Concepcion paid tribute to her late grandmother, former beauty queen and actress Elaine Gamboa Cuneta, on the occasion of her sixth death anniversary.

On her Instagram page, KC shared a photo of her with her “Mita,” and described her as the love of her life.

“I remember you every day, not just on this day. I love you more than words can ever say. You were my best friend. My confidant. My light. In many ways you are alive with me and will always be the love of my life,” she wrote in the caption.

“This was the day you waved goodbye to me... With a smile on your face. I will always cherish that. I will always cherish you. I love you, Mita,” she added.

KC has been very vocal about her love for her grandmother. In a previous interview, the actress-host admitted that it was Mrs. Cuneta who convinced her to join show business, as she loved seeing her granddaughter perform, whether on stage or on TV.

Aside from KC, her mother, Sharon Cuneta, also remembered Mrs. Cuneta by sharing old interview clips in which she expressed her love and gratitude to her mom.

Mrs. Cuneta died on November 5, 2014 due to internal bleeding and complications arising from abdominal surgery. She was 79 at the time of her death.
